Monday that it trashed their pick-a-payment
mortgage program. And now Wachovia is
offering to existing customers a refinance out
of that loan program and will not charge a
pre-payment penalty (most of those loan

Parking ticket leads to foreclosure in
Milwaukee

I came across a sad story about a man, 62,
whom is mentally and physically disabled
and lives in a $245,000 house now in a
foreclosure lawsuit by his city due to a
parking ticket for 50 bucks. He parked his van
with no license plates in the driveway of his
parents' home - a violation of city zoning
codes. His radiator broke, so he didn't renew
the license plates without passing the lame
emissions test. He claimed he could not
afford to fix it and was overwhelmed with
caring for his sick parents. The lawsuit has
taken four years. more
